Fantasy Peers — Terms and Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, connecting your Fantasy Premier League ("FPL") team, or otherwise using Fantasy Peers (the "Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "Manager") and Fantasy Peers.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your country of residence if higher, to create an account or participate in any live (real-money) match.
  • You must have full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring your participation in Fantasy Peers is lawful in your country of residence. See Section 4 (Nature of the Platform) and Section 17 (Jurisdiction and Compliance).
  • We reserve the right to request proof of age or identity at any time, particularly before processing a withdrawal (see Section 11).

3. Nature of the Platform

Fantasy Peers is a peer-to-peer, skill-based competition platform built around Fantasy Premier League. It is not a gambling platform, a betting exchange, or a game of chance.

  • There is no house, no odds, and no party taking a position against you. Every match is between two (or more, in Groups) Managers competing directly against each other.
  • Outcomes are determined entirely by the skill decisions each Manager has already made in their real FPL team that gameweek — captaincy, transfers, and squad selection — not by any mechanism controlled by Fantasy Peers.
  • Fantasy Peers' role is limited to: verifying Manager identity, applying a transparent and published scoring methodology, holding contributions in escrow during a live match, calculating and declaring the winner, and settling payouts.
  • The platform charges a service fee for this infrastructure (see Section 9). This fee is fixed and identical regardless of who wins — Fantasy Peers has no financial interest in any individual match's outcome.

Fantasy Peers is not a licensed gambling operator and does not hold itself out as one.

4. Not Affiliated with the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League

Fantasy Peers is an independent, third-party platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to the Premier League, Fantasy Premier League, or any Premier League club, in any way.

  • All official Fantasy Premier League data used by Fantasy Peers is retrieved from the publicly accessible Fantasy Premier League API, which is used for informational and scoring purposes only.
  • References to "your FPL team," "FPL," or "Fantasy Premier League" throughout the Platform are descriptive only — used to identify the game your competition results are based on, not to imply any partnership or license.
  • You can independently verify any score or result shown on Fantasy Peers by searching your own team name or team ID on the official Fantasy Premier League website. Our figures will always match theirs, because we do not calculate scores independently — we retrieve them directly from the same source.
  • Any commercial activity conducted by Fantasy Peers is conducted independently and is not sanctioned by the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League. Fantasy Peers acknowledges that the Premier League and its licensees retain all rights they may hold over Fantasy Premier League data and branding, and that Fantasy Peers' use of publicly available data does not constitute a license or grant of rights from any rights holder.

5. Account Registration and Team Verification

5.1 Sign-up

Accounts are created using Google sign-in (OAuth) only. Fantasy Peers does not require or store a separate password.

5.2 Connecting your FPL team

To use the Platform, you must connect a real Fantasy Premier League team using your public FPL team ID only.

  • Fantasy Peers will never ask for, request, or store your Fantasy Premier League login email or password, under any circumstances. Verification is performed using only your publicly available team ID via the official FPL API.
  • To confirm you are the genuine owner of the team you are connecting, you will be asked to temporarily add a unique, system-generated code to your FPL team name, then confirm the change on Fantasy Peers. Once verified, you may revert your team name.
  • Each real Fantasy Premier League team ID may only be linked to one Fantasy Peers account. Attempting to link a team ID already registered to another account will be rejected.
  • Verification codes expire after a set period if unused, and you may request a new code at any time.

5.3 One person, one account

You may not create or control more than one Fantasy Peers account. Multi-accounting, including using another person's identity, device, or team ID, is a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension of all associated accounts and forfeiture of funds obtained through the violation (see Section 15).

6. How Scoring Works

6.1 Adjusted Score

All match results are determined using an adjusted score, calculated from your official Fantasy Premier League gameweek data as follows:

  • Your raw FPL gameweek score is the starting point.
  • Chip effects are always removed, regardless of whether you played a chip in your real FPL team that week:
    • Bench Boost — bench points are excluded; you are scored as a standard starting XI.
    • Free Hit — you are scored using your normal, permanent squad, not your temporary Free Hit squad.
    • Triple Captain — your captain is scored at the standard 2x multiplier, not 3x.
    • Wildcard — has no effect on scoring; your transfers still count as normal.
  • Transfer point deductions ("hits") are retained in full — these reflect a genuine skill decision and are not removed.
  • Captain and vice-captain multipliers, bonus points, Defensive Contribution points, and automatic substitutions are all retained exactly as calculated by the official FPL scoring system.

6.2 Why chips are removed

Chip effects are removed from every match because they represent a single, occasional strategic choice rather than a repeatable skill demonstrated every gameweek. Removing them ensures that match outcomes reflect ongoing decision-making — captaincy, transfers, and squad selection — rather than a one-off boost.

6.3 Data source

All raw scores, gameweek data, and player statistics are retrieved directly and exclusively from the official Fantasy Premier League public API. Fantasy Peers does not independently generate, estimate, or alter any underlying scoring data.

7. Rolling Average and Skill Rating

Your rolling average is a measure of recent form, used to help you and other Managers judge a fair matchup. It is calculated as follows:

  • Gameweek 1: your average equals your Gameweek 1 adjusted score.
  • Gameweeks 2–4: your average is the cumulative average of all adjusted scores played so far that season.
  • Gameweek 5 onward: your average becomes a rolling average of your last 5 gameweeks, updating each week as the oldest gameweek drops off.
  • At the start of each new Fantasy Premier League season, this average resets for every Manager, ensuring no player carries an unfair advantage into a new season.

8. Fantasy Peer Rating (FPR)

Fantasy Peer Rating ("FPR") is a persistent, global skill rating, separate from your rolling average, that reflects your competitive record over time.

  • All new accounts begin at an FPR of 0.
  • FPR is only affected by real, funded matches. It does not change based on rolling average, sponsored group participation, or any other activity.
  • FPR is calculated using a standard rating system: winning against a higher-rated opponent increases your rating more than winning against a lower-rated one.
  • Losing a match still results in a small, guaranteed minimum rating gain — no Manager loses rating points from participating in a real match, regardless of outcome.
  • Draws are resolved using the tiebreak procedure in Section 8.1 before any FPR change is calculated; there is no drawn result for FPR purposes.
  • FPR determines your placement into a tier, shown publicly on your profile and the global leaderboard: Rookie, Challenger, Contender, Elite, Master, and Legend.

8.1 Tiebreak procedure

If two Managers' adjusted scores in a match are exactly equal, the result is determined automatically, in the following order, using data from the same gameweek first:

  1. Captain points — the Manager whose captain scored more raw points wins.
  2. Vice-captain points — if captains are tied, the Manager whose vice-captain scored more raw points wins.
  3. Defensive points — if still tied, the total raw points scored by goalkeepers and defenders in each Manager's starting XI that gameweek.
  4. Previous gameweek's adjusted score — if still tied, each Manager's adjusted score from the immediately preceding gameweek.
  5. Overall Fantasy Premier League rank — as an absolute last resort, the Manager with the better overall FPL rank at the time of the match is declared the winner.

This procedure is fully automated and applied identically to every match without exception or manual override.

9. Entry Fees and Prize Payouts

  • Fantasy Peers charges a 5% service fee, deducted from each Manager's stated contribution at the moment a match is confirmed. This fee is included in the amount you commit to a match — the amount you agree to stake is the full amount deducted from your wallet.
  • The winner of a match receives 100% of the combined contributions placed into the match by both (or all, in a Group) participants, after the service fee has already been deducted from each side.
  • This service fee is non-refundable once a match has been confirmed and funded by both participants, except where a match is cancelled prior to the gameweek deadline in accordance with Section 10.
  • Fantasy Peers does not take a variable share, does not adjust odds, and does not benefit financially from any individual outcome. The fee is fixed and identical whether you win or lose.
  • Group challenges follow the same principle: all participants contribute an equal amount, the same service fee applies, and the highest adjusted score in the group takes the full remaining prize pool.

10. Challenges, Escrow, and Cancellation

10.1 No stakes-free matches

All matches between Managers on Fantasy Peers involve a real, funded contribution. There is no free or "practice" match format between individual Managers. (See Section 12 for the one exception — sponsored Groups.)

10.2 Before a match is confirmed

You do not need funds in your wallet to browse the Challenge Hub, list an open challenge, be challenged by another Manager, or accept a challenge request. Funds are only required once a match is confirmed.

10.3 Friends and auto-acceptance

If you mark your profile as "open for challenges," a challenge sent by a confirmed friend that falls within your own previously declared contribution range and terms will be automatically accepted without requiring a manual review step. This does not change any other rule in this section — funding, deadlines, and cancellation rights apply identically to auto-accepted matches as to manually accepted ones.

10.4 Funding deadline

Once a challenge is accepted (automatically or manually), your contribution must be present in your Fantasy Peers wallet before the relevant Fantasy Premier League gameweek deadline.

  • At the gameweek deadline, both participants' contributions are automatically and simultaneously locked into escrow, and the match becomes live.
  • Either participant may cancel the match at any time before the gameweek deadline, without the need to provide a reason to the other party, provided the match has not already locked into escrow.
  • If you have accepted a challenge but do not have sufficient funds in your wallet by the gameweek deadline, the match is automatically cancelled, and this is recorded against your Reliability Score (see Section 10.5).

10.5 Reliability Score

Your Reliability Score reflects how often you fund matches you have accepted, calculated as a percentage over your most recent accepted matches (not your full lifetime history).

  • Declining a challenge, at any point before it is accepted, has no effect on your Reliability Score.
  • Your Reliability Score is only affected when you accept a challenge and then fail to fund it by the gameweek deadline.
  • A lower Reliability Score may reduce your visibility in the public Challenge Hub. It does not result in automatic suspension, and it recovers over time as you continue to fund accepted matches.

10.6 Rematches

Following any completed match, either participant may propose a rematch to the other. A rematch requires a fresh service fee and fresh funding by both parties under the same rules as any other match.

11. Deposits and Withdrawals

11.1 Currency

Fantasy Peers operates exclusively in USDT (Tether) on the TRC-20 (Tron) network. We do not currently accept deposits or process withdrawals in fiat currency, by card, or through any other payment processor.

11.2 Minimum amounts

The minimum deposit and minimum match contribution is $1 USDT. Minimum withdrawal amounts may be set separately and communicated within the wallet section of the Platform, reflecting minimums imposed by external exchanges or wallets you withdraw to.

11.3 Deposits

  • Each account is assigned a unique USDT (TRC-20) deposit address.
  • Deposits are credited to your Fantasy Peers wallet balance only after the transaction has received sufficient confirmation on the blockchain. We do not credit balances manually or in advance of on-chain confirmation under any circumstances.
  • You are solely responsible for sending USDT on the correct network (TRC-20 / Tron). Funds sent on an incorrect network, or to an incorrect address, cannot be recovered by Fantasy Peers and are your sole responsibility.
  • All blockchain transactions are irreversible. Fantasy Peers cannot reverse, cancel, or refund a deposit once it has been broadcast to the blockchain.

11.4 Withdrawals

  • Withdrawal requests are processed to a USDT (TRC-20) address that you provide.
  • Withdrawals require two-factor authentication.
  • If you change your withdrawal address, a security cooldown period applies before a new address can receive funds.
  • Withdrawal requests are typically processed within 30 minutes, though processing time may vary and is not guaranteed.
  • You are solely responsible for providing an accurate withdrawal address. Fantasy Peers is not liable for funds sent to an incorrect address you provided.

11.5 Identity verification (KYC)

Once your cumulative withdrawals exceed $500, you will be required to complete an identity verification process before further withdrawals can be processed. This is a compliance requirement and applies uniformly to all Managers who reach this threshold.

11.6 No refunds

All entry fees are non-refundable once a match is confirmed and funded, except as expressly permitted under Section 10 (cancellation before a gameweek deadline).

12. Groups

12.1 Standard Groups

A Manager may create a Group for a specific gameweek, inviting other Managers to contribute an equal amount. The Manager with the highest adjusted score in the group takes the full remaining prize pool after the standard service fee. Groups may be set to public (discoverable and joinable by any verified Manager, up to the group's stated size) or private (invite-only, limited to confirmed friends).

12.2 Sponsored Groups

Fantasy Peers may, at its discretion, offer Sponsored Groups, in which the prize pool is funded entirely by a brand, content creator, or Fantasy Peers itself, rather than by participating Managers.

  • Entry into a Sponsored Group is free to the participating Manager.
  • All participants in a Sponsored Group must still complete full team verification, as described in Section 5. There is no exception to identity verification, even where entry is free.
  • Sponsored Groups will be clearly labelled as sponsored, and by whom, at all times.
  • Sponsored Groups may include eligibility restrictions, including geographic restrictions based on a Manager's verified account information, at the discretion of Fantasy Peers or the sponsoring party.
  • The winner of a Sponsored Group is determined using the same scoring methodology and tiebreak procedure as any other match on the Platform.

13. Privacy of Challenges and Groups

Any challenge or group you create may be set to public (visible and requestable by any verified Manager on the Platform) or private (visible only to your confirmed friends). You may change this setting at any time before a challenge or group is finalised.

14. Fair Play, Account Integrity, and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Create or control more than one Fantasy Peers account.
  • Attempt to link a Fantasy Premier League team ID that does not belong to you, or that is already registered to another account.
  • Coordinate with another Manager to manipulate, fix, or predetermine the outcome of any match.
  • Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to interact with the Platform in a manner not intended for ordinary use.
  • Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the scoring, matching, escrow, or payout systems.
  • Provide false information during account verification.

To protect the integrity of the Platform, Fantasy Peers operates automated monitoring for patterns including, but not limited to: unusual score variance relative to historical performance, matched device or network fingerprints across multiple accounts, withdrawal addresses shared between multiple accounts, and abnormal win-rate patterns relative to skill rating. Accounts flagged by these systems are subject to manual review and, where appropriate, suspension.

Violation of this section may result in suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of funds directly connected to the violation, and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

15. Consequences of Violations

Fantasy Peers reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate any account, withhold or reverse a payout, or restrict access to the Platform where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated. Where possible, we will notify you of the reason for any such action.

16. Dependency on the Official FPL API and Service Availability

Fantasy Peers relies entirely on the official, publicly available Fantasy Premier League API for all scoring data. This API is operated by a third party outside our control.

  • The Fantasy Premier League API is typically unavailable between seasons and may, on occasion, experience downtime, delays, or changes at any time, without notice, entirely outside Fantasy Peers' control.
  • In the event that official scoring data is delayed or unavailable at the time a match is due to settle, settlement of affected matches will be delayed until accurate data becomes available. Fantasy Peers is not liable for any delay caused by unavailability of third-party data.
  • In the rare event that the official FPL API becomes permanently unavailable or access is materially restricted, Fantasy Peers will make reasonable efforts to notify affected Managers and resolve pending matches fairly based on the best available data at that time.

17. Jurisdiction and Compliance

You are solely responsible for determining whether your participation in skill-based competitions of this nature, involving cryptocurrency, is lawful in your country or region of residence. Fantasy Peers operates as a global platform and does not represent that the Platform is appropriate, available, or legal for use in every jurisdiction.

By registering an account, you confirm that you are legally permitted, under the laws applicable to you, to participate in private skill-based competitions of this nature.

[This section should be reviewed and expanded by qualified legal counsel to reflect your company's jurisdiction of incorporation, any jurisdictions you explicitly exclude, and any applicable licensing arrangements as the Platform scales.]

18. Intellectual Property

All Fantasy Peers branding, the Fantasy Peers name, logo, and Platform design are the property of Fantasy Peers and may not be used without permission. Fantasy Peers claims no ownership over Fantasy Premier League data, which remains the property of its respective rights holders and is used under the terms described in Section 4.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fantasy Peers is not liable for:

  • Any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
  • Any loss arising from blockchain network delays, incorrect network selection, or incorrect wallet addresses provided by you.
  • Any loss arising from unavailability or inaccuracy of third-party data, including the official Fantasy Premier League API.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

20. Changes to These Terms

Fantasy Peers may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to Managers through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

21. Governing Law

[To be completed based on the jurisdiction of incorporation, with legal counsel's guidance.]
